I'm a marine biogeochemical modeller, working almost exclusively at global scale, and typically on research around the carbon cycle and the ocean's response to climate change. I'm the lead developer of the MEDUSA open ocean plankton ecosystem  / biogeochemistry model, and lead a small team of researchers at NOC developing and using this model. MEDUSA is typically run within the NEMO general circulation model, across a range of resolutions (1°, 1/4°, 1/12°) and in both open ocean and shelf seas configurations. NEMO-MEDUSA also serves as the ocean component of the UK's Earth system model, UKESM1, and I am a member of this model's core development team responsible for delivering simulations to the CMIP process. Aside from MEDUSA, I also maintain an interest in the BORIS benthic ecosystem model and uses of this relating to both time change and deep-sea mining.
